For all Microsoft lovers; Microsoft has revealed that Windows 8 will be released on 26 October. The declaration was made at the firm's annual sales meeting and was also published on its blog shortly after.
Some features of the soon to be released OS are:
SECURE BOOT: The new secure boot feature
is designed to prevent any unauthorized firmware, drivers or operating
systems from launching as the computer boots up into Windows.
PICTURE PASSWORD: Since Windows 8 is designed with touch devices
in mind, it provides a new security feature which allows touchscreen
users to enter a password by tracing three gestures over a chosen image
rather than having to bring up the onscreen keyboard.
CONTROL PANEL: Beyond revamping the Windows task manager, Microsoft has also redesigned
the control panel for Windows 8. New options include Personalize,
Users, Wireless, Notifications, General, Privacy, Search, and Share.
WEB NAVIGATION BY TOUCH: The Internet Explorer (IE) 10 browser
built into Windows 8 is designed to offer faster browsing through
greater hardware acceleration, along with rapid gesture-based zoom, pan,
and Web site navigation.
The Count down begins!.
