Tools to keep Your PC Malware free

Malware otherwise known as Malicious Software is a program designed to affect and damaged computers without owner/users consent. Virus, rootkits, trojans, spyware and worms are all Malware.

There are free tools that can keep your system running free from Malware. See tools after the cut
1. Malwarebyte: This is my number 1 Anti-Malware tool. This tool has come handy a number of times that  I've had to clean my office systems of various malicious attack. Also known as MBAM, Malwarebyte and free and easy to download. The free version requires an update before it can be used. i.e, after downloading the application, install and run an update on it to get updated after which you get a prompt to scan your system. Always restart your system after each scan. Get free Malwarebytes

2. Spybot Search and Destroy: This is another popular anti-malware and its also very effective. This tool has real-time component i.e, when you download the free version, you don't have to run an update on it unlike Malwarebyte. Get free Spybot Search and Destroy

3.ComboFix: This is another "run to" tool for me. While this tool is running, users are not able to access their PC as the tool does not allow another process to be running while doing its scan. One advise I got online on the use of this tool, is to always remove the executable file from your system after use. Get free ComboFix

4.Avast: The free version of Avast is another great virus and spyware protection tool. Just got Avast installed on my PC and so far, its been doing its job. Get free Avast

5. AVG: I remember my early days in the IT world; If i was going to recommend an Antivirus, it would be AVG. though not as powerful and effective as the other free tools listed above (especially for virus) AVG does fairly well in removing spyware. Get AVG Free

These tools are listed in MY order of preference, I always have a copy ComboFix ready for use with any of the other anti-malware tools . Unlike antivirus, you can have more than one anti-malware installed on your PC.
